About Khiri

Hi I’m Khiri and I’m an artist, dancer, painter, faerie, educator, poet, seamstress, street performer, and all around renaissance woman.

Currently I am learning how to exist as an artist and as a woman in a world that seems to be falling apart at the seams. This involves spending a lot of time juggling multiple creative projects, practicing conscious communication with my husband, telling wildly fantastical stories with my friends, and dancing. Lots of dancing. I feel jazzed to be alive in a time where so much feels possible. The arts are more important than ever and I intend to follow my essence and create something wonderful. Projects inspiring me at the moment include my one woman show, the magick socks project, this blog, pantsuit nation, and the local art markets. Follow me on social media to keep up with all my latest antics. Thanks!

Khiri Samantha Lee is a mixed media artist and performer who currently resides with her husband in Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a BA in Art History and lives, breathes, and dances art.

Right now Khiri works in her home studio playing with a wide variety of materials and mediums including fabric, acrylic and watercolor, handmade papers, yarn, beads, stamps, inks, and whatever else strikes her fancy to create her boldly colorful multi media paintings and sculptures.

Her work is heavily influenced by her time working and volunteering with the non profit Turning the Wheel Productions. Their outlook that anyone can be an artist, dancer, performer spurred Sam’s leap into a full time arts career. The explorations she undertook through their summer workshops also inspired current works into personal myth and childhood stories.
